Oh, that I could dance a waltz
to bring you everlasting fame.
Or, sing a song to spread your love,
convincing all to trust your name!

Oh, that I could speak to crowds
and make the multitudes cry out,
“Tell us of ‘the way, the truth;
the life’ ¹ with God we’ve heard about.”

I’d sing and dance for you,
speak to crowds for you,
win my world for you,
give my all for you!

Oh, that I could paint the sky
in brilliant colors, blended tones,
write the message of redemption
on the mountains, trees, and stones!

Oh, that I could give great treasure,
riches for your kingdom’s reign,
make offerings and sacrifices,
given to bring eternal gain!

I’d sing and dance for you,
speak to crowds for you,
win my world for you,
give my all for you!

But what I bring is all I have.
‘Tis but a drop to quench this fire.
No fount to satisfy my thirst,
or salve for unfulfilled desire.
