The poem in one week describes the fact that God can use anything to trigger an answer to prayer, even if that prayer has been long abandoned by the one who prayed it. Plus, people and circumstances can change, even in one week’s time!
In this case, a change in someone’s health was the trigger that brought about a change for the better in that person’s character, and thus inspired this poem. It’s not that our prayers manipulate God. Who can really understand His purposes or timing? It's that He sees the big picture and we must trust Him even when the answers we desire don’t come. Sometimes, we get surprised later, as I was when I wrote this poem. Either way, we must trust God’s character to be good.
