Life is hard
Most every day.
Filled with labor
Bills to pay.

Filled with news
Shocking and sad.
Stressful people
Harsh and mad.

Filled with those who
Break their word,
Who disappoint or
Repeat what they’ve heard.

Life is hard
Chores never end.
Aches and illness
Are unwanted friends.

Burdened mind
Can’t carry the load.
Jesus points to a
Different road.

“Come to Me...
I will give you rest.” ¹
“Take my yoke...” ²
When you feel stressed.

“Learn from Me...
My burden is light.
Your soul will find rest” ²
From your temporal fight.
